Customer Needs & Challenges
The customer’s core goal was to process 3 tons of raw contaminated PE irrigation drip tapes per hour, achieving a stable output of 2 tons of clean scraps. These scraps would then be granulated into high-quality HDPE pellets for non-woven fabric production. The main challenges included:
1. Heavy contamination (mud, sand, fertilizer residues) on the drip tapes
2. Large, folded bundles that are difficult to wash directly
3. Strict quality requirements for recycled pellets to meet Grade A standards

Multi-stage Washing and Impurity Removal
This is the most critical step in determining the quality of the recycled material. The washing line typically includes multiple processes:
Sedimentation and Rinsing: Initially removes large pieces of mud, sand, stones, and other heavy impurities mixed in with the crushed material.
High-Speed Friction Washing: Through high-speed rotation and friction of the equipment, stubborn dirt, plant roots, etc., adhering to the surface of the drip tape are forcefully removed.
Deep Cleaning: Some advanced cleaning lines employ high-pressure spraying, brush cleaning, and even hot water (60-80℃) with environmentally friendly cleaning agents to thoroughly decompose and remove residual fertilizers, greases, and pesticides.
Dehydration and Drying: After multiple washes, the plastic fragments have a high moisture content and require mechanical dehydration using a screw press or horizontal dewatering machine. They then enter a hot air drying system to ensure the material meets the requirements for subsequent granulation.
Granulation and Reuse: The cleaned and dried drip irrigation tape fragments are sent to a plastic recycling granulator for high-temperature melting, filtration, and extrusion, ultimately producing uniform recycled plastic granules. These granules can be used directly as raw materials, mixed in proportion with virgin materials, to produce drip irrigation tape, agricultural pipes, and other products.
